Nigerian professional footballer Alexander Chuka Iwobi has announced that his debut music EP, titled More To Life, will be released on April 9, 2026, The project includes a collaboration with Fido, the artist widely credited with producing Nigeria’s biggest song of 2025.

It was made known on Monday, March 30. Iwobi, performing under the artist name 17, gave fans a taste of what’s to come by previously releasing the lead single, Track 0 (Freestyle).

This eight-song EP mixes Afrowave and Afrobeats styles that celebrate his Nigerian heritage. The cover art shows a black-and-white photo of the Fulham player next to pictures of him as a child in 1998, 2004, and 2010 reflecting the growth theme central to the project.

Among the collaborators is Olayemi Josiah Awosika, widely known as Fido. His track Joy Is Coming was crowned Nigeria’s number one song of 2025. Aston Villa midfielder Amadou Onana, who records as 24AM, also appears on the project alongside Teniola Time, Giddi, P17, 4AM and SPKS.

The 28-year-old player has balanced music with his football career for a long time, and this project is his biggest move into the creative industry so far.

The main idea of this project is that there is more to life than just football. This is something Iwobi has frequently discussed in various interviews and public appearances over the last few years.

The Super Eagles midfielder continues to perform at a high level on the pitch as well. He has played in more than 300 Premier League games, a milestone that places him among Nigeria’s most durable players in English top-flight history.
