Darryl Paa Kwesi Bannerman-Martin, known by the stage name Joey B, is a Ghanaian hip hop recording artist. He is well known for his single "Tonga" says he has been knocked down by severe asthma making it difficult for him to perform for now.
Ghanaian hip-hop artist Joey B has said in a tweet that his inability to perform at any of the concerts during the Yuletide period in 2022 is because he is battling asthma.
“Where do I start…” Joey B said in a series of tweets. “So, for the past few years, I’ve been fighting this asthma thing, got really serious in 2018, but somehow I’ve been tugging it out.”
He therefore apologised to his fans and gave them the assurance that he will make it up to them in the coming years.
“I communicated my condition to the event organisers quite late because I thought I could push through, but it was too much for me. Please don’t push a narrative for likes or engagements. I’ll definitely make it up to you when I’ve fully recovered,” he said.
Joey B added that he was communicating these information to save his brand and that it has nothing to do with seeking sympathy or making an excuse for not releasing new songs.
