Police Apprehend Portable Over ‘G-Wagon Debt’

Report says he purchased vehicle worth ₦27 million but made a payment of only ₦13 million.

Controversial Nigeria musician Habeeb Okikiola, famously known as Portable, has been apprehended by the Lagos State police command for allegedly refusing to pay the balance of a G-Wagon vehicle he purchased from a car dealer.

The Lagos State  police spokesman, Benjamin Hundeyin, said the ‘Zazoo Zeh’ crooner was apprehended on Tuesday in the Abule Egba axis of the state.

The singer was reported to have purchased a vehicle worth ₦27 million but made a payment of only ₦13 million.

Also, in a viral video, Portable was seen  handcuffed, and wheelbarrowed by over four policemen into a waiting vehicle.

Hundeyin, noted that police expected the lawyers of the singer to show up on Wednesday morning.

He said that Portable might be arraigned in court, depending on the agreement with his lawyers.

 This is not the ‘Zazoo Zeh’ crooner's first encounter with the police. In April 2023, the singer was arrested by Ogun State police and arraigned on five counts charge bordering on alleged assault and stealing.
