Nollywood Actor Junior Pope Drowns While Shooting a Movie

He was involved in a boat mishap on his way from a movie location.

Nollywood actor Junior Pope Odonwodo drowned and was confirmed dead at Marine Cable Point in the Anam River in Anambra during a movie shoot.

According to reports by journalists, the comic actor was with three of his colleagues, returning from a movie location in a boat, when they fell into the Anam River in Anambra State.

His body was recovered and was confirmed dead when rushed to the hospital.

Junior Pope had earlier released a video of himself on a boat, praying to arrive at his destination safely.

Also, he was seen begging the captain to be careful, his words: “Nah only me dey born no vex ooo… Take am easy boss, I get three children to raise".

The accident occurred on his way back from the movie location on Wednesday, April 10, 2023.

The Delta State Chairman of Actors Guild of Nigeria, AGN, Emma Onyemeziem, when contacted, confirmed the incident noting that Junior Pope's corpse had been deposited in the morgue.
