Sam Larry, a socialite and music promoter, and Nigerian singer Naira Marley were seen in public for the first time since being released from police custody following their arrest on suspicion of having connections to the death of singer Promise IleriOluwa Aloba, also known as Mohbad.
The singer and Sam Larry were arrested in October on suspicion of being involved in the death of former Marlian Records signee Mohbad.
Naira Marley and Sam Larry were accompanied by Marlian Records signee Zinoleesky in a TikTok video. All three men can be seen in the video laughing and making hand gestures as they pose for the camera moments before getting into a waiting car.
This occurred just a few days after the head of Marlian Music and Sam Larry were granted N20 million bail by a magistrate court in Yaba, Lagos State.
On October 6, Naira Marley, Sam Larry, and two other people were charged and placed under remand for their alleged roles in Mohbad's death.
As part of their bail requirements, the two were ordered by Magistrate Adeola Olatunbosun on Monday, November 6, to present their international passports.
Additionally, Olatunbosun mandated that they appear every week at the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID).
Since then, comments have followed the video of Sam Larry and Naira Marley's first public appearance. Many people are hopeful that Mohbad will receive justice and are uninterested in their release.
