Marriage is Dedication, Not Imprisonment — Nons Miraj Affirms

Nigerian influencer and host of “The Hunt Game Show,” Chinonso Ukah, known by her stage name Nons Miraj, in an interview with journalists on Wednesday in Abuja, said marriage is a “serious life-long dedication” and not “imprisonment,” as many youths today see it.

She affirmed that she believes in love, saying she always motivates people to value relationships and take the right procedures to date before getting married.

"It is necessary to truly know the person you are committing to for life, and it is also crucial to be patient and follow the right process to ensure it is the right decision,’’ she asserted.

She further said that “Although I am not married yet, I am in a relationship, and it pains me to see how many men today are okay with making women ‘baby mamas’ or just casual partners without dedication,’’.

Nons Miraj cited fear of dedication, financial issues, and unrealistic expectations as reasons why many remain single.

Speaking on her new online dating app, Nons Miraj revealed she was motivated to create the app because of her experience with “The Hunt Game Show.”

“So many people wanted to be part of the show but couldn’t due to geographical limitations. Some even wished to travel home during Christmas to find love. That is why I thought of creating an app that can connect people no matter where they are,” she added.
