At the recently concluded BET Awards ceremony, Nigerian musician Damini Ogulu, best known by his stage name Burna Boy, received recognition as the "Best International Act."
The event took place on Sunday night at the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles, California, USA.
Although Burna Boy wasn't at the event, but the African Giant won the prize by defeating his countrywoman Ayra Starr, British musicians Ella Mai, Stormzy, and Central Cee, as well as French singer Aya Nakamura.
Burna Boy's record as the recipient of the most awards in the BET Awards "Best International Act" category was extended with his triumph (4).
He has received the honor three times in a row (in 2019, 2020, and 2021).
