Nollywood actress Angela Okorie has taken a hard stance against her colleague Zubby Michael for going public with his financial support offered to the family of late John Paul Obumneme Odonwodo, also referred to as Junior Pope.
A video that surfaced online shows Michael giving the contribution to Jennifer Awele, the widow of Junior Pope, and their kids.
Michael received criticism from Okorie for making his donation in public.
She pointed out that it was inappropriate to show off wealth at a young person's funeral.
She wrote on her Instagram story saying; “Zubby na young person die, that showcase of money wasn’t necessary. But as a local boy that you are, you don’t have sense. You don’t know where to do show and where to behave well.
“Abi you get money pass all the dignitaries wey come there? Mugu.”
On April 10, 2024, Junior Pope and three other people died when their boat overturned on the Anam River in Anambra State as they were returning from a filming site.
Last Friday, he was buried at his hometown of Ukehe in the Nsukka Local Government Area of Enugu State.
