Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED), located in Ijagun, Ijebu-Ode, has expelled 31 students and indefinitely suspended 47 others for various academic and behavioral offenses.

In a statement released by the university's Public Relations Office on Tuesday, the institution detailed the disciplinary measures taken following a Senate meeting held on July 31, 2024. Among those expelled is Ojo Michael, a 200-level Computer Science student, who was found guilty of falsifying his CGPA to fraudulently contest the Student Union elections.

Additionally, 17 students were expelled for examination malpractice, 5 for issuing threats, and another for fraudulent activities. The university’s Examination Malpractice and Students’ Disciplinary Committee conducted thorough investigations before reaching these decisions.

The 47 students on indefinite suspension face charges including impersonation and other forms of misconduct. The university has instructed these students to stay off-campus to avoid confrontations with security personnel, emphasizing its commitment to maintaining discipline and integrity.
