The Osun State Government has suspended the Rector of the Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, Dr Tajudeen Odetayo, over supposed monetary recklessness and abuse of office.
The suspension of Odetayo, who was named Rector March this year was contained in a letter endorsed by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Education, Mr A Jimoh.
The letter suspending Odetayo dated July 11, 2023, a duplicate of which was gotten in Osogbo on Monday, mostly read, "You are thus suspended as the Minister of Osun State Polytechnic, the continuation of the solid claims of monetary foolishness, defilement, misappropriation of asset, maltreatment of office among others.
"You are to continue on suspension right away, while the examination concerning the claims evened out against you starts soon."
Selected the sixth considerable Rector of the polytechnic by the past Governor of the state, Adegboyega Oyetola, towards the sundown of his organization, Odetayo's arrangement was anyway turned around by Governor Ademola Adeleke, soon after he took over rule close by others done by his ancestor after July 16, 2022 governorship political decision.
