The Osun State Executive Council has approved interview dates for applicants who passed the recruitment test for teaching positions. This directive follows a briefing by the Commissioner for Education, Hon. Adedipo Eluwole, updating the council on the final stage of the recruitment process.
The interviews are scheduled to take place between Monday, September 9, and Friday, September 13, 2024, at designated centers across the six zones of the state. The Ministry of Education is expected to release an official notice with further details, including specific interview dates and venues.
The delay in concluding the recruitment exercise was partly due to negotiations over the new minimum wage, which has since been resolved. The state government has also initiated efforts to bridge staff shortages in schools, issuing letters to around 2,000 teachers under the elongated service program.
