The Niger State Government has announced a significant reduction in tuition fees for students at the Abdulkadir Kure University of Education, in order to alleviate the financial burden on students and their parents following the removal of fuel subsidies by the Federal Government.
According to a statement signed by the university's Pro-Chancellor, Prof. Muhammed Yahaya-Kuta, the 50% reduction in fees is intended to ease the financial hardships faced by students and parents.
The decision was made by Governor Mohammed Bago, who expressed hope that the beneficiaries and the people of the state would support the government in its efforts to succeed.
The reduction in fees applies to all students enrolled in regular courses for the ongoing 2023/2024 academic session.
The governor congratulated the students, parents, and the people of the state on the development, urging the beneficiaries to reciprocate by being more committed to their studies for the development of the state and humanity at large.
