The National Examinations Council (NECO) has confirmed that the closing date for the 2024 Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) Internal Registration remains unchanged.
The registration period began on Monday, December 18, 2023 and will close on Monday, June 3, 2024.
NECO has called on stakeholders to disregard social media posts claiming that the registration period has been extended to Monday, June 20, 2024. The council clarified that late registration, which attracts an additional fee, will be open from Tuesday, June 4, 2024 to Monday, June 10, 2024.
The 2024 SSCE Internal examination will commence on June 19, 2024 and conclude on July 26, 2024. Candidates will be assessed in 76 different subjects during the examination.
NECO has urged candidates, school principals, commandants, state ministries of education, and other stakeholders to adhere to the official registration timeline and disregard any misleading information circulating on social media regarding an extension of the registration period.
