The Afe Babalola University Alumni Association Executives, led by the Association's President, Dr Ilugbusi Segun, congratulated a Trustee of the Association, Mrs Folashade Alli, on her inauguration as a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN).

Mrs Cordelia Ilori, the third Vice President of the Association on University Relations, expressed the Association's delight at the nomination of Mrs Folashade Alli, a Trustee of the Association and the daughter of the Founder of Afe Babalola University, who has always been passionate about the Association's growth.

“Her works towards the development of young people in Nigeria and the Legal Profession in particular has been spectacular for years now and many Nigerians rightly believe her elevation is an addition to the Legal Profession and proof that God’s time is the right time. And we are very proud to be associated with her,” Mrs Ilori stated.

The Executives praised the Founder of Afe Babalola University, Ado Ekiti (ABUAD) and Legal Luminary, Aare Afe Babalola, SAN, for never letting the management and the institution down, praising the Founder's efforts in always maintaining high quality standards at the citadel of learning.

Miss Olowookere Kehinde, the Association's Treasurer, stated that the Alumni Association most recently held its Annual Alumni Day on October 19, 2023, where it hosted Hon. Olusegun Segun Dada, the Special Assistant to the President on Social Media.

The Association emphasized the role alumni associations play in influencing, uplifting, and bringing people together.

Together with their Endowment Fund and other projects, the President and Executives discussed the possibility of creating a 10-year strategic plan for the Association.

His Royal Highness, Hon. Justice Sidi Bage Muhammad 1, CFR, JSC retd, FCI, Arb, FCIM, FHSN, the 17th Emir Lafia and Chairman of the Nasarawa State Council of Chiefs, Dr. (Mrs.) Victoria Adunola Samson, Managing Director of BOVAS and Company Limited, and Chief Emeka Anyaoku, GCON, CFR, two-term Secretary General of the Commonwealth were among the new Honorary members recently awarded by the Association.
