The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC) has announced a significant increase in the pump price of petrol in Abuja, raising it by 14.8% to N1,030 per litre, up from N897.
This adjustment marks the second price hike within a month, following a previous increase in September when the price rose from N615 to N897 per litre.
Motorists expressed their dismay at the latest price change during a visit to an NNPC retail station in Abuja. Many voiced concerns about the ongoing economic challenges facing the country.
One taxi driver, Usman Abah, shared his frustration after waiting in line for nearly an hour, stating, “It’s beyond belief... Tinubu is not concerned about our suffering.”
