In a significant move, the Nasarawa State Government has joined forces with Aerthmetal and Boxmoor to establish the Uke Gold Company.

The three parties have signed a tripartite agreement to explore, develop, and produce gold mineral resources in the Uke community, promising substantial economic benefits and sustainable development for the region.

The official signing ceremony, held in Lafia, was attended by key government officials, business leaders, and representatives from the host community.

The partnership aims to position Nigeria as a leader in the global mining industry, setting new standards in sustainability, innovation, and community engagement.

Mariam Yahaya-Shiru, the Chief Executive Officer of Aerthmetal, expressed her enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating, "Together with Boxmoor and the Nasarawa State Government, we are committed to establishing Uke Gold Company as a model of excellence in the mining sector. We aim to showcase Nigeria's capabilities on the world stage."

Ibrahim Abdullahi, the Managing Director of Nasarawa Investment, emphasized that the initiative aligns with the state's strategy to participate in the mining sector, generate revenue, and create jobs.

The Uke Gold Company project is expected to bring numerous benefits to the region, including job creation, infrastructure development, and enhanced local business opportunities.
