The Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has expressed his commitment to partnering with Mastercard to advance technology, digitalization, and innovation in the state.
On Thursday, Sanwo-Olu mentioned this when the Management of Mastercard, headed by its President for Eastern Europe, Middle East, and Africa, Dr. Dimitrios Dosis, paid him a visit at Lagos House, Marina, Lagos.
The governor emphasized the readiness of his administration to adopt technology as a lifestyle, mentioning the collaborative opportunities for technological advancements between the Lagos State Government and Mastercard.
He noted that part of his vision for Lagos is to become the knowledge warehouse, a city where anywhere in the world if you need anything in terms of innovation, knowledge and skills.
He also stated that he wants to nurture millions of young people who are not only smart but also willing to transform and conquer the world. We have witnessed that in our creative minds, whether in entertainment, arts and culture, innovation, or technology.
In addition, channeling the energy of young people positively is necessary to help solve world problems.
Sanwo-Olu stated that the state is working on building extensive capacity in smart city and security.
