In a significant development for regional energy cooperation, Dangote Refinery has announced its inaugural export of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) to Cameroon, marking the first-ever shipment from Africa's largest oil refinery.

This milestone, achieved in partnership with Neptune Oil, highlights a strategic collaboration aimed at enhancing economic ties between Nigeria and Cameroon while addressing the increasing energy demands in the region.

Alhaji Aliko Dangote, President and CEO of the Dangote Group, described the export as a demonstration of a vision for an energy-independent Africa. "With this development, we are laying the foundation for a future where African resources are refined and exchanged within the continent for the benefit of our people," he stated.

Antoine Ndzengue, Director and Owner of Neptune Oil, emphasized the importance of this partnership for Cameroon. He noted that becoming the first importer of petroleum products from Dangote Refinery strengthens the country’s energy security and supports local economic development.

"This initial supply, executed without international intermediaries, reflects our commitment to serving our markets independently and efficiently," Ndzengue added.

The collaboration between Dangote Refinery and Neptune Oil is set to continue beyond this initial export, with both companies exploring initiatives to establish a reliable supply chain that could stabilize fuel prices and create new economic opportunities across the region.
