Air Peace has launched its inaugural direct flight from Lagos to London, marking a significant step forward in improving connectivity and strengthening aviation relations between Nigeria and the United Kingdom.
The airline had previously announced plans to begin direct flights to London on March 30, and a month later, the service has officially commenced. Air Peace X account announced the development on Saturday, stating, "The London service has begun, and we're delighted to have achieved yet another feat in our drive to provide peaceful connectivity across cities."
The launch of Air Peace's direct flights resulted from diligent preparations and significant achievements, including the obtaining of the Foreign Carrier Operator Permit and the Third Country Operator Permit. These certificates not only demonstrate Air Peace's adherence to international aviation standards but also its determination to grow its global reach.
The unveiling ceremony saw prominent individuals such as the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, and Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Doris Uzoka Anita, highlighting the importance of this new route in enhancing people-to-people and economic connections.
