Sen. Uba Sani, the governor of Kaduna State, has given his approval for the formation of a committee to assess the condition of all existing projects in the state, including those that are in the planning stages.
The governor's chief press secretary, Muhammad Lawal Shehu, stated in a statement that "this is in line with the government's commitment to speedily complete all priority projects."
He claims that the committee's mandate is to ascertain the status of all ongoing projects across the state, obtain information regarding contractual commitments and obligations, ascertain funding plans and party commitments, ascertain project completion dates, and develop specific recommendations for each project within a four-week time frame.
Sabiu Sani, Special Adviser, Investment & Promotion, is the Chairman of the Committee. The other members are Dr Abdullahi B. Ahmed, Special Adviser, Project Monitoring, Implementation and Result Delivery, and Dr Mustapha Musa, Special Adviser, Legal.
Other members include Shuaibu Kabir Bello, Senior Special Assistant, ICT - Secretary, Larai Ishaku, Member, Fabian Okoye, Special Adviser, Research, Documentation & Strategy; Ibrahim T. Muhammad; Atiku Sankey; Special Adviser, Peace and Conflict Resolution; and Member.
