Ghana Receives The Mortal Remaind Of Christian Atsu

The mortal remains of Christian Atsu arrived home on Sunday night

The mortal remains of the Ghanaian star footballer, Christian Atsu Twasam, arrived in Accra on the night of Sunday 19th February 2023, at the Kotoka International Airport.

The body was accompanied by his family and Ghana’s Ambassador to Türkey on a Turkish airline.

It was received by the Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, officials of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), reps of the Twasam family and a teaming crowd of Ghanaian supporters.

In a brief message, the VIP President appreciated the late Black Stars player for his dedicated and selfless service to the country and humanity.

"Our thoughts and prayers are with the bereaved family, and we pray for eternal rest for the soul of our beloved Christian Atsu", the Vice President prayed.

Dr Bawumia also pledged government's full support and readiness to giving the late son-of-the-land a befitting state burial.
