According to a company statement, NAHCO has also provided power-generating sets to ensure continuous operation of the boreholes.

The first project is situated at the State Primary School in Ewutuntun and will serve not only the school itself but also the Community Primary School in Ewu and the State Primary School in Mafoluku.

The second borehole project, located at Ewu Primary School in Ewutuntun, will also benefit the Methodist Primary School in Ewutuntun.

During the inauguration of the boreholes, Mr. Indranil Gupta, the Group Managing Director/CEO of NAHCO, emphasized that these projects would address the issue of inadequate and unhygienic water supply faced by the students.

Gupta stated, "The borehole projects will provide water for the current and future generations of students in these schools."

He further emphasized NAHCO's commitment to supporting the government through their Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives and encouraged stakeholders to collaborate with the government in realizing its vision of providing a better future for students.

Mrs. Florence Aderemi, the Head of Mobilisation at the Local Government Education Authority, expressed her appreciation to NAHCO for their support, highlighting that the presence of the borehole facilities would contribute to increased enrollment and improved retention of students in the schools.

Aderemi also emphasized the importance of the community's collective responsibility in nurturing and supporting children, stressing the significance of ensuring they have access to basic amenities such as clean water.

The provision of these boreholes is expected to alleviate the burden on students who previously had to leave the school premises in search of water, ultimately creating a more conducive learning environment.

Also, a former Head Teacher at State Primary School, Ewutuntun, Mrs Nwafor, was full of gratitude to NAHCO Aviance.

She related how tough it had been for the school to cope without water.
